Iowa town boots politicians who took down Veterans Day display

Tiny Knoxville, Iowa, sent several members of its city council packing after they voted to follow the directive of Americans United for Separation of Church and State to remove a temporary display honoring veterans. That display featured the silhouette of a white, Latin cross grave marker.

Dr. Gregory Tomlin recalls the day he met Capt. Warren Evans, one of the first band of U.S. Army Rangers. Evans died in July, at age 96 -- 70 years after his escape from a German POW camp.
