'Attack on Titan' season 2 spoilers, news update: Anime still on release limbo; season 2 to closely follow manga series
The follow-up to "Attack on Titan" season 1 is still in an indeterminate state; yet despite this quiet period in the camp of IG Port's Wit Studio and director Tetsur? Araki, fans are still looking ahead for a sequel, especially with the franchise being made available in a video game format.

According to Gematsu, Koi Tecmo, the developer of the "Attack on Titan" video game, recently unveiled an update on Eren's "Lawson" costume and Armin's "Attack on Titan: Junior High" costume. This latest information fanned the flame for fans to concur that the much-awaited sequel is just around the corner. The video game version will be out first on Feb. 18 in Japan with formats for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
Meanwhile, the second season of the "Attack of Titan" anime was expected to return in February but according to Design & Trend, there is still no indication that it will go full swing since an official release date has not been mentioned.
On the other hand, the story arc for season 2 was given away by creator Hajime Isayama and will follow closely the manga storyline, as reported by Cross Map. As mentioned, the narrative will tackle the Titans' breach on the Wall Rose. Eventually, a coup de etat will simultaneously come to pass led by Captain Erwin Smith on the Shiganshina District's crooked ruler.
Another story arc that will evolve are the true identities of Ymir and Krista Lenz. The aforementioned Ymir was actually an estranged titan who managed to return to a human shape when he consumed Marcel, thus he and Krista became lovers in the process.
Another developing arc revealed is that Lenz belongs to the bloodline of the Coordinate as she is the daughter of Rod Reiss. But the saddest revelation to come is the ultimate demise of Levi Ackerman.
