LaHaye honored at Extraordinary conference

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Beverly LaHaye, founder and chairwoman for Concerned Women for America, was honored in Sept. 8 at the Extraordinary Women's Conference, at Thomas Road Baptist Church.

LaHaye, wife of Dr. Tim LaHaye, co-author of the bestselling "Left Behind" series, was cited for her many years of steadfast service and outstanding achievements.

"I am honored to accept this award given by such a marvelous ministry as Extraordinary Women," LaHaye said in a news release. "The Lord has been faithful to my ministry and my family over the years and I am continually amazed by His goodness. Any recognition I receive is only because of the transformation God has brought into my life."

The conference drew an estimated 7,000 women. Extraordinary Women is a ministry whose mission is to host events and provide resources that equip women to handle life's difficulties while enriching their hearts, encouraging their souls and expanding their ministry.
