NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Christian Examiner) -- Aiming to "inspire a new generation of fans" the Grammy award-winning band Audio Adrenaline has released its tenth tenth studio album, Sound of the Saints.
The 10-song album debuted May 4 and features a new line up of musicians but is expected to deliver the iconic pop/rock sound fans identify with the band now being led by frontman Adam Agee formerly of Stellar Kart.
"We are excited to inspire a new generation of fans the way Audio Adrenaline inspired us," Agee said in a news release announcing the band's return. "These new songs carry on the message of Audio A -- positive, encouraging and challenging. God can use all of us, even the underdogs."
The band introduced various songs from the new album while on the Newsboys' "We Believe...God's Not Dead" Spring Tour which concluded May 9 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Among the hits already well received on the tour were the debut single "Love Was Stronger" and the albums title-track "Sound of the Saints." The title-track features the song-writing skills of the band's founding member Mark Stuart who co-wrote the number with Agee, and the albums Grammy-winning producer Seth Mosley (Jeremy Camp) as well as award winning songwriter Jared Anderson.
After three decades of making music and numerous changes in band members, the newest installment of Audio Adrenaline musicians says they wish to continue making rock-anthems and life changing music that stirs Christians to live out their faith.
In a behind-the-scenes video journal of the band's recent tour, Agee and fellow band members discussed their heart for continuing the band's ministry through their latest album release.
"There is a need for a band like Audio Adrenaline in Christian music (because) it's fun, its energetic and it points people to Jesus," Agee said. "It encourages people and challenges people to get out there and do something with your life (to) do something for the Kingdom."
Further discussing the band's desire to inspire their Christian audience, guitarist Brandon Bagby (formerly of Plumb and Seventh Day Slumber), said the "end goal" of their music is to encourage.
"The real ministry happens off stage when you're pouring into someone's life and you're praying for them and you're hearing their stories, and if you can encourage someone, that's the end goal," Bagby said.
Audio Adrenaline's full line up of musicians includes Adam Agee as lead vocalist, Dave Stovall on bass guitar and vocals, Brandon Bagby on guitar and vocals, and Jack Campbell on drums.
Sound of the Saints was co-produced by Mosley and Joshua Silverberg (Newsboys, Michael W. Smith). Since it's debut in 1986, Audio Adrenaline has amassed two GRAMMY® Awards; five GMA Dove Awards; a Gold®-certified recording; and 14 #1 Christian radio singles, including such signature songs as "Big House," "Get Down" and "Hands And Feet."
