NEW YORK (Christian Examiner) – Islamic State terrorists continue to invent new ways to slaughter their victims.

A video released by the group June 23 shows prisoners dressed in reddish-orange jumpsuits being lowered into a pool in an iron cage. The video, too graphic to be shown in American media, shows the men above water and below as they struggle to survive.

The seven-and-a-half minute video, complete with Arabic chants, also includes footage of men killed by explosives laced around their necks, and three other men killed by a rocket propelled grenade (RPG) as they sat in orange jumpsuits in a car.

Each of the victims in the video is recorded confessing to either being a "spy" or opposing the Islamic State in some other fashion.

The Quran teaches that God's children should tread gently upon the earth and, when confronted by ignorance, reply 'peace.' In honoring these familiar values together – of peace and charity and forgiveness – we affirm that, whatever our faith, we're all one family.

The video comes at the same time an ISIS document purporting to offer a Yazidi sex slave as a prize for memorizing the Koran has been leaked on social media. The Daily Mail reported the flyer was believed to have originated in northern Syria.

"As well as sex slaves, the advert promises cash rewards for fourth and fifth prize," the newspaper reported.

"The competition is set to be held in several ISIS mosques in Syria, including the Osama bin Laden mosque. The seven day competition is set to finish on 27 June and is being held to celebrate the Muslim festival of Ramadan. The advert addresses ISIS militants in Syria, congratulating the jihadis in their fight and wishing them a blessed Ramadan."

The video was released near the same time President Barack Obama hosted the Iftar dinner at the White House, commemorating the breaking of the fast in the month of Ramadan.

During the dinner, President Obama claimed acts like the ISIS executions, publicized in the media, offer "a very distorted impression" of Islam.

"The Quran teaches that God's children should tread gently upon the earth and, when confronted by ignorance, reply 'peace.' In honoring these familiar values together – of peace and charity and forgiveness – we affirm that, whatever our faith, we're all one family," Obama said.

ISIS, as the video illustrates, does not see Islam in the same light.
